Having taken a maximum of 34 season deposits, 2009 race entries are now open to all registered Elise Trophy drivers. With some rounds catering for nearly 80 cars, all drivers will have a chance to compete in 2009. Season highlights include support races for A1GP, World Touring Cars and the all new Formula 2 in addition to what is likely to be one of the Lotus highlights of 2009, the Lotus Festival at Snetterton in June. The season kicks off at Donington Park with four races on 19th April as part of the Lotus show weekend.

The full calendar for 2009 also includes races at Zandvoort, Hockenheim, Dijon and Le Mans alongside Lotus Cup Europe.
